Easter 2012

Julia reminded me that Easter tradition finds me at the Freeland's, enjoying a fabulous brunch. This year, however, I totally spaced it and booked a trip to Phoenix to be with Cheryl and the boys. I missed my Easter brunch with Julia and crew, but I did enjoy a great weekend with the family (parents were there in Phoenix, too). Friends and Easter eggs galore ... and three handsome nephews made it all wonderful! Blessings, indeed!

Happy Birthday, Avery Cait!

Avery Cait celebrates her 11th birthday today. I remember sitting at my desk, eleven years ago today, answering the phone to hear my sister's voice. "Baby's here. Guess what it is?" I screamed out, "Girl?!?" Lunch break found me at Macy's purchasing anything pink for this little gal, despite my earlier words saying I would never allow any niece of mine to be dressed in all pink. Avery has the sweetest heart and soul of any girl I've ever met. She loves unconditionally, serves others and is a great example to me of true love. Little did we know, Princess, how important the color pink would become in both our lives, eh? I love you, forever and always, and can't wait to see you!
